Memories of the magi-tech 3rd Age, for instance, may have given rise to legends of an ancient time of magic and wonder, Atlantis, Shambhala, Shangri-La, and other magical places that definitely existed on Earth but just not in the 4th Age. No one knows anything about the 1st and 2nd Ages.įor a Mage game, a Mage awakening in the 4th Age might remember past lives in the previous Ages. NARRATOR: Jiro Ishimaru is a journalist trying to expose what Kim Jong Uns regime wants to hide, the secret world of the North. The 3rd Age was a magi-tech marvel, and if you were to find some amazing, improbable magi-tech item, it probably leaked through from the 3rd Age.
With every reboot, fractures in the world/reality multiply - The 4th Age may be the last reboot. There's a techno-organic, god-like entity called Gaea that oversees the world and the imprisonment of the 'Sleepers.' The Sleepers are presumably the Old Gods/entities that would oppose Gaea and want to re-write reality if they ever woke up.Įvery time they get close to waking up, Gaea re-boots the world, and another Age starts. One thing I liked about it was the Four Ages. The MMO The Secret World has some fun lore, but I don't know if there's anyplace you can read it easily.
